The argument:

It's always a shock to see your parents come home with a baby in your arms - especially when he's wearing a tie, walking around with a briefcase and having a voice a man in his fifties! If 7-year-old Tim does not look favorably on this "Baby Boss" coming to his home, he discovers that he is actually dealing with a spy and that he alone can help him accomplish his ultra-secret mission. ... Baby Boss is preparing for a titanic confrontation between babies and ... doggies, charming little puppies that will soon be sold to replace babies in the hearts of parents!

Our opinion:

Judiciously shown to the French in preview at the Spring of the Cinema, Baby Boss is a small success that revives the image of the studio Dreamworks after the colorful diarrhea Trolls and aesthetically convincing Kung-Fu Panda 3, which we had rather bored in his lack of inventiveness.
On a plot that mixes the strings of two recent animated blockbusters, Like Beasts (Universal) and Cigognes & Cie (Warner), Baby Boss celebrates the arrival of the little brother at home as at Pixar, wondering about the contrasting feelings of the eldest child who does not feel the jealousy of the appearance of the not really beautiful chubby baby, which will also provoke this fear of abandonment that is already staged in Toy Story's toys or dogs. Like animals.

The boy with the irresistible weapon of deterrence, vomit, comes to impose his diktat of new born astral around which the world will turn. What to turn the family comedy into a parody of horror film, with convoluted plans and burlesque suspense around this little short-haired monster that manages its all-powerful end of this cabbage like a boss.
The over-stimulated comedy, with many references, turns very quickly to absolute delirium, with a frame that goes beyond the domestic framework to make the child an agent engaged in a rescue of large families, to restore love to the heart of these small businesses where it will be necessary to ignore fraternal rivalry to carry out its heavy task.
Beyond this somewhat naive story, it is the achievement of Tom McGrath (Megamind) that inspires the adult audience the happiness of a beautiful projection in family. It gives the 3D show enough energy and colorful jokes to allow the fits of laughter to prevail over the crisis of faith in a genre that we have known much more plan and naive plan.
